Cedar Ridge Nursery has been specializing in transplanting and planting of large specimen trees since the early 1980's. The art of hand-digging is utilized for specimens that have limited access or unique forms that do not permit mechanical digging and moving. Large, hand dug specimens are usually drum laced and sensitively lifted with large tractors or cranes. In addition, Cedar Ridge Nursery operates mechanical spades, both tractor- and truck-mounted, for situations where mechanical transplantation is appropriate.
